HERRIMAN, UT - With all necessary measures and safety protocols in place, the National Women’s Soccer League became the first professional league in the United States to get back in action during the pandemic. Take a look at the Colorado players that saw action in the first games of the Challenge Cup.

Ally Watt

Ally Watt, #6 Overall at the 2020 NWSL College Draft earlier this year, made her professional debut at the Challenge Cup. The Colorado Springs native came into the game against the Portland Thorns in the second-half at the 58th minute. Ten minutes later, Ally suffered what turned out to be a season-ending injury on her right knee after an awkward run in the opponents box.

Lindsey Horan

US Women’s National Team midfielder Lindsey Horan started and played the full 90-minutes in the Portland Thorns loss against North Carolina Courage on June 27th. The Golden-native will look to get on the scoresheet tomorrow night when the Thorns face Chicago Red Stars.

Jordan DiBiasi

Second-year pro Jordan DiBiasi (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) played the full 90-minutes for the Washington Spirit in their opening Challenge Cup game against Chicago. The Spirit won the game 2-1.

Estelle Johnson

Now in her tenth season in the professional ranks & second with Sky Blue FC, veteran defender Estelle Johnson (Fort Collins, Colo.) helped her team with a clean sheet in the 0-0 draw against OL Reign. Johnson played the full game.

JAELENE DANIELS

Defender Jaelene Daniels (Denver, Colo.) played the full game in the North Carolina Courage win over Portland Thorns.

KRISTEN HAMILTON

Denver native Kristen Hamilton started for the North Carolina Courage in their opening Challenge Cup match versus Portland Thorns. Hamilton was subbed out in the 58th minute.

LAUREN MILLIET

Durango, Colorado native Lauren Milliet came into the game in the second-half of the Courage/Thorns game. Milliet played 25 minutes and helped North Carolina to their 2-1 win.
