Colorado Soccer Association Welcomes Jonni Thordsen as Chief Operating Officer

Colorado Soccer Association (CSA) is proud to announce the appointment of Jonni Thordsen as the organization’s new Chief Operating Officer. In addition to her COO responsibilities, Jonni will also serve as a key club liaison for CSA member clubs across the state.
Jonni brings a wealth of leadership experience, operational expertise, and a lifelong passion for the game of soccer that will greatly benefit the association and the Colorado soccer community.
Jonni began her soccer journey at the age of four and continued playing competitively through college, concluding her athletic career at the University of Northern Colorado, where she earned her bachelor’s degree.
Professionally, Jonni spent 19 years with the Medical Group Management Association, serving as Senior Director of Operations. In that role, she oversaw five departments and led a staff of 42 employees, building extensive expertise in organizational leadership, strategic planning, operations management, and team development.
Driven by a passion to combine her professional background with her love for soccer, Jonni transitioned into youth sports leadership as Executive Director of Skyline Soccer. Under her leadership, Skyline Soccer’s competitive programming expanded to five times its original size. The organization also achieved significant success on and off the field, including State Cup championships, the development of elite-level programming, and the acquisition of a dedicated facility featuring office space and indoor turf.
Jonni is widely recognized for her ability to build strong teams, drive organizational growth, and create meaningful opportunities for athletes and families throughout the soccer community.
