Denver, Colo., -- (May 25, 2016) – Colorado Soccer Association (CSA) and the University of Denver Men’s Soccer program announce a three-year commitment to promote the sport of soccer throughout Colorado. The agreement allows for CSA and DU to work together to promote Colorado Soccer, the University of Denver, and provide opportunities for CSA families and member clubs to become a larger part of the Colorado soccer community.

“Colorado Soccer is dedicated to working with our state’s colleges and universities to promote opportunities for our youth players, coaches and families across the state to enjoy,” says Nate Shotts, CEO, Colorado Soccer Association. “We are proud to call the University of Denver a partner, and look forward to creating a sustainable partnership that benefits the future of soccer in Colorado.”

“We are excited to work with CSA on a variety of platforms to further stimulate soccer’s overall growth and continue to create excitement around the sport here in Colorado,” says Jaime Franks, Head Soccer Coach, University of Denver. “It is part of our duty here at the University of Denver to support all levels of soccer in Colorado and partnering with CSA is an important step for us accomplishing that goal.

“With 11 former Colorado youth soccer players on the 2016 roster, we believe that our student-athletes are great role models for younger players to look up to. This partnership provides the opportunity for our student-athletes to give back to the community and get involved with youth soccer here in Colorado.”
