Colorado Soccer Association partners with the Go4theGoal Foundation to help kids battling cancer in Colorado
In partnership with the Go4theGoal® Foundation, CSA is inviting all members to join us in raising awareness and funds for childhood cancer this season through Go4theGoal’s Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer® campaign. The campaign has its roots in New Jersey’s youth soccer community and has since grown to include tens of thousands of soccer players on all levels, and professional soccer teams such as Sporting Kansas City, the Philadelphia Union, and Sky Blue FC. The Lace Up campaign offers a chance for players to get involved, help raise awareness, and show support for local kids battling cancer.
“Go4theGoal is our first charity partner and we are so excited to build a lasting relationship with an organization that does so much for Colorado kids battling cancer,” said Nate Shotts, CEO, Colorado Soccer. “We encourage all of our members to participate in the program because at the end of the day, we know that life is more than just soccer.”
All funds raised beyond the cost of the laces will be used at Children’s Hospital Colorado to support Colorado children being treated for cancer. Once a team has committed to participate, ordered laces, and has selected a "Lace Up" or "Gold Out" game, Go4theGoal will send laces along with supportive materials such as banners and balloons.
We are hoping to get every athlete under the CSA umbrella involved by September for National Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month! Laces are only $5 per pair, with $4 going back to benefit children battling cancer at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Also, 100% of all donations raised in addition to purchasing the laces will go to the hospital. This is an opportunity to highlight our players and organizations, support a great hospital that serves our community, and bring awareness to a serious illness that children shouldn't have to fight alone.
